The Government of India authorised to grant, without previous reference to Her Majesty`s Secretary of state for India, an extension of service to an officer in charge of a Survey party who attains the age of 55 years in the middle of a survey year, provided the extension in no case exceeds six months.Extension of Mr.J.S.Pemberton`s service from 8th July to 30th September 1898.
