In reply to Despatch No. 1, dated 2nd January, 1864, transmitting a memorial from Mr. C. P. Waller, late Asstt. Superintendent of Police in Manbhoom, appealing against his removal from his appointment, requests that Mr. Waller be informed that any appeal which he may prefer from an order of the Lt. Governor of Bengal should be addressed to the Government of India.
