In reply to the Petition from the Europeans of Eurasians of Bengal & the N.W.P.`s, regarding the arms act / No. XXXI of 1860 forwarded by Mr. A. Forbes of Calcutta requests that the petitioners be informed that H. M.`s Govt. see no cause for any modification of the instructions on the subject of the act in question conveyed to this Govt. in Despatch No. 11 of the 5th September last, and published in the Calcutta Gazette of the 17th act, following.
