With reference to Despatch No. 55 (Political), dated 25th August 1887, transmits a copy of a letter from the Chief Commissioner, Burma, regarding the Commission issued by the Civil Judge at Mandalay for the examination of Monsieur P. Ponthenier, lately of Mandalay, and now said to be residing in Paris, and requests that measures may be taken for the execution of the Commission.
