Mr. R.Sewell`s report on the archaeological Survey of the Madras Presidency for the first quarter of 1881 approved, and inquiry made of the Government of India as to what further steps have been taken to give effect to the suggestion that Madras be added to Mr.Burgess` charge for the purposes of archaeological survey.
