Proposed grant of rewards to Mr. J. A. Gammie, Resident Manager of the Government Cinchona Cultivation, Darjeeling, and to Mr. C. H. Wood, late Government Quinologist in Bengal, in recognition of their labours in the discovery of a process for the extraction of the alkaloids from cinchona bark by means of alkalis and oil.
