Regularization of the Police cadres and posts carrying allowance in the various provinces by statutory rules. Amendment of the Superior Civil Services Rules so as to empower local Governments to sanction officiating appointments for a period not exceeding 12 months of any person not being a member of the Indian Police Service to a post borne on the cadre of that service.
