In reply to a lr of the 15th oct last states his aprehension that the proposed system of effecting Remittances by means of bill or those native bankers instead of by land or water escorted by troops is not likly to prove sucessful refers to his report to the revenure dept on the subject and is of opinion that it contains the best expeident to promote the view of govt.
