With reference to letters of the 17th December 1847 * 5th Augt. 1848, state that an Error has Crept into the Adjustment of Major Spottiswoode's Bill for repairing Stud Buildings at Hnper that the amount of the Bill was Rs. 478.3.3 whereof Rs. 463.7.1 was Expended on other items of repair & was overlooked by Govt. & Solicit permission to pass this sum which remains at present in the Books of the accountant.
