With reference to Mily. department letter no. 415 of the 15th ultimo states that the commander in chief is of opnion that 3rd irregular carraiges 125 powdr howtizr will be sufficient for the arfort Kangra recommend that they be placed in position in batterie no. 1& 2 shew in the plan of the fort that these batteries to put into repair that teh auter walls ofhe fort be also repaired consider that a detail of arty. men is also most decorable.
