In referenct to his letter, no 952 of 17th December 1852 transmits copy of letter from the medical board at Madras, intimating that they have directed the despatch by the first steamer of the quantity of fish liver oil regarding by the medical board at Calcuttta stating that they will be prepared to suply annually 2500 poinds of that oil and suggesting the propriety of ceasing to obtain furture supplies of the liver oil from England.
