Draft of a letter to the President and Council of Fort St. George, intimating the despatch of the ship Duke of Kingston to their Presidency with two pilot vessels,one for carrying their public despatches to Europeans and the other for helping the troops on board the Duke of Kingston to disembark ;requesting them to advance four months' pay to the Commander and crew of the vessel that is to proceed to Europeans ; notifying the despatch of a chest of military stores and acertain quantity of salt provisions to them ; notifying them that the tonnage for the supply of an additional quantity of rice to them has been obtained by Mr. John Fergusson ; enclosing a bill of exchange for 2,000 Star pagodas drawn in their favour by Mr. John O'Donell,and stating that no information has been received of the military stores sent to them on board the Cores.
