In reply to an extract of the 20th May last, states that Lieutt T R Pollock has been ordered to rejoin his Regiment and intimates with reference to the explanation required by the Honable Court, that it was not known to the Foreign Department when that officers services were applied for in September last, that the objection in regard to his appointment in the civil department, he not having served the prescribed period with his regiment according to regulations.
