In reply to a despatch of the 24th Uotimo, staes that the two extra Bheesties engaged on the 28th November 1849 by the officer Commanding the Bhaugulpore Hill Rangers, remained at Bhaugulpore to look after the Lines during the absence of the Corps, & its two permanent Bheesties at Darjeeling. & that the number of men left in the lines averaged 129 on hte March of the Corps towards the latter station.
