Submits ext of a lr. from the comg. offer of the Hill Rangers regarding the proportion of Hindoostances native offers to be promotions in consequence of the late augmentation to that corps, with the C. C's Recomn for modifications of G.O. 17th May 1822 limiting the number of Hindoostan and Hill men, & that the recruiting of that corps be confirned to Hill Men.
