This is to Certify , that it appears, from the record,s in the adjutant General office, that Major john Ewart, of the 55th Regiment, Native Infantry , on the Bengal Establishment , was admitted into the service on the 5th april 1825. that he went ot Europe, on furlough, on account of his health on the 14th october 1837.
