With reference to Extract from to the Mily. Dept., transmits Extract Courts Letter, approving of the decision of Govt. in rejecting the application for the grant of a Pension to Mr. Mulheran a Junior 1st Class Sub Assistant surveyor in the grand Trigonometrical Survey, & concurring in the expession of extreme Surprize that he should have been retained so long in the Public Servic after haviing been incapacilated from all Effectual after employment , & stating that they know not upon what grounds he was promoted to a 1st Class Sub Assistant Surveyor & that it is diffienlt to under stand how it should have been permitted.
