With reference to applications having been recently received from 2 men for enlistment into the companys service and the whole of the Europen corps artilley and infantry being now above their authorized strength solicits ordrs as to whether eligible recruits who offer themselves on the spot may be enlisted or not an arrangment which the C in C apprehends would have a considrable saving rather than an expense to the state.
