In reply to a despatch of the 12th December, states that the Governor General approves of te proposed appointment of Brigadier J.P. James to the General Staff of the Madras Army, & to the Command of the Northern Division, the Command of the Hyderabad subsidiary Force being assigned to Brigadier J.E. Williams, 21st Madras N.I., with teh rank of a Brigadier of the 1st Class.
