With refrence ot office memo Mily Department no 11 of 3rd Instt, addressed to the secy Home Department states the scale, of Establishment sanctioned in the financial Department for the supt of Gelogical survey, that Professor old ham has engaged the services of 2 Assistants, on soldiers and 300and 200 rupees per mensem each with travelling allowances which on duty in the field, besides, Native clerks, and that the professor, is also allowed 34 draught bullocks, with 3 Elephants, from the Commissariat Department for the use of the survey.
