In continunation of his No.176 of the 21st Ultimo states, that Lieut.G.G.O'Bryan 16th N.I.& B.C. Smith 57th N.I. the former doing duty with the Hill Rangers, the lr. with the Sythet Battn., have been remanded to their proper corps in G.O. of 4th Instt, Lieut.W.F.Muthall 18th N.I.2nd in command of the arracan Bstta Has not passed the prescribed examination but as he is offg. in the deptt. of P.W.in arracan, & has passed in examination in the Burmese lanorage which is understood to be language in that province, the Commander in chief referes his case for the orders of the gover.genl.
