From The Sect to the Govt. of India Military Dept. To The Chief Commissioner North West Provinces. 29th April 1855. In reply to Mr. Secretary Pudsey's Secretary letter No. 106 of 5th instant, I am directed by the Govt. of India to state that they do not feel competent under the circumstances as presented to them to overrule the decision announced by honorable the General in court in regard to the introduction of the black troops to a portion of the site as Will Ry. of the Troop in respect of the disport as well as rooting on her Majesty's 14th reg. of company adjacent to the said ships and detached company of the coast.
