Refusal of the Secretary of State to sanction the grant of allowances to Principals of certain Government Colleges. Authority granted to the Government of India to increase the number of, otherwise revise the existing senior and junior allowances admissible to members of the Indian Educational Service and relaxation of the rules debarring local Governments from allotting these allowances at their own discretion. Grant of authority to local Governments to create up to certain aggregate annual values new allowances of a temporary nature for members of the Indian Educational Service.
