The C.I.T. informed that the sanction conveyed in the letter from the Government. of India in the Foreign Department. No. 2366Est. A., dated the 23rd July 1910, exempting the Political Officer in Sikkim and his establishment from the operation of art. 1056, C.S.R., in respect of their halt at Darjeeling, was not intended to be a general one ane that it should be held to apply to their halts at that place from the 20th march 1910 to the 19th October 1910 and from 24th November 1910 to the 4th January 1911 and that ordinary rules should be applied in respect of similar halts in future
