In reply to No. 238, dated 9th ultimo, recommending that an additional sum of Rupees 1, 000 may be placed at Mr. Bixby's disposal for the expenses of his journey, states that the information submitted is too vague to admit of his application being entertained. His Excellency cannot grant cannot grant more than the thousand Rupees already sanctioned until satisfied that the results of Mr. Bixby's travels warrant on the part of Government any further outlay
