Substantive appointments in temporary posts and counting of periods of leave for increments in official appointments (i) Decision that LAP/P.L. upto a maximum of 4 months/120 days taken at a time counts for increments in the officiating and temporary appointments, it is certified that but for his proceeding to leave the railway servant would have continued to officiate. (ii) Decision that the period of Maternity leave does not count for increments in officiating appointments. (iii) Decision that the concession at (i) above also apply to stuff governed by Company Rules. (iv) Decision the joining time under Rule 2137 (b)-R.II following leave also counts for increments in officiating or permanent posts, it is certified but for his proceeding on leave and joining time the railway servant would have continued to officiate in his officiating post. (v) Decision that the concession at (i) above can be given to more than one person. (vi) Decision that the concession at (i) above will also accrue in the lower post. (vii) Decision that an officiating officer returning from L and P not exceeding 4 months may draw officiating pay drawn by him prior to proceeding on leave while taking over charge of a similar post
