Procedure for aseertaining local rates in case of casual labour not covered by the Minimum Wages Act-Decided that (i) Local authorities mean District Magistrate or an officer acting on hisbehalf. (ii) D.E.N. in each Division should coordinate in respect of as certaining and revising rates. (iii) If local authorities do not reply with in 3 months, divl. authorities should suitably revised rates. (iv) Where Divn. covers more than one Civil District, D.E. (N) of the longer Division should coordinate. (v) In respect of construction units open line should coordinate. (vi) If one unite i.e. a beast of P.W.I. is in 2 civil Distt. higher of the 2 rates should be paid. (vii) The above procedure does not supersede existing rule reg: payment of 1/30th of minimum of authorised scale
