Judgement in Civil appeal No.136 of 1954 in the supreme court- Shri B.P.Hira- Vs- Shri C.M.Pradhan and others regarding payment of overtime allowance under Factories Act, 1948 to all persons including those who are the workers by virtue of section 70 of the Bombay shops and Establishment Acts----- Examination of the ---- Decision Communicated to the G.Ms., Central and western Railways that in View of the supreme Court's Judgement and in Accordance with the provision of section 70 of the Bombay shops and Establishment Acts, he should arrange payment of overtime allowance at tje rate prescribed under te factories Act to such time, keepers employed on workshop which are Factories under the Factories Act and were situated within the Bombay state as had worked overtime and had put Forward claims Appeal to the Supreme Court by Certain fire fighters of Loco workshops, Parel, against the Judgment Delivered by the bomaby High Court that the fire fighters in Question were not workers under Factories Act ant that they were no entiled to all the benefits of the Factories Acts by Virtus of section 70 of the bombay shops and Establishment Acts Supreme Court set aside the order of the Bombay High Court and Allowed the Claim of overtime Wages Subsequent to 13.5.1951 Further Action was being taken on E(G)branch files E(G) 62LL -.
