Central Railway:- C and W Depot at Wadala- Staff treated as continuous under HER filled application before the payment of Wages Authority for payment of Overtime under the Factories Act- The authority upheld the case in favour of the employees on the grounds that C & W depots, unlike loco running sheds, come within preview of the Factories Act, and Staffs entitled to overtime in accordance with that Act. (2) The board stated that running sheds included C and W depots' sick line and sick siding, and that C and W depot employees are not entitled to overtime under the Factories Act. (3) Railways are recommended to seek an appeal in the High Court against the Wage Payment Authority's decision. They were urged to seek counsel from the Ministry of Law's Branch Section in Bombay. (4) Bombay High Court Decision- that the Wadala workshop and or yards are railway operating sheds in the meaning of such expression in Section 2(m) of the Factories Act- Rejections Orders granted on the respondent's plea for payment of overtime under the Factories Act
