Industrial Disputes Act 1947 Amended in 1953. Appeal filed by the Barsi Light Railway Company in the Supreme Court against Bombay High Court Judgement in the case between the Barst Light Railway Company and its workmen S.C. (Civil) No. 56 of 1956 regarding payment of retrenchment compensation. The supreme Court's Judgement that no retrenchment compensation was payble for bona fide closure of business or when termination occurred as a result of transfer of ownership from one owner to another. Promulgation of the Industrial Bey rules (Amendment) ordinance, 1957 w.e.f. 1-12-1956
