Programme for unemployment insurance The Ministry of Railways objected to the examination of the proposed schemes, which included a (1) pilot programme for unemployment insurance for members of the coal mines provident fund and a (2) unemployment insurance plan for members of the employees provident fund. Regarding the planned pilot programme, it was brought to the attention of the M/O Labour that, as a logical consequence, the existing prices of the coal kinds that Rlys were consuming would certainly rise if such a programme was implemented for members of the Coal Mines Provident Fund.
