pension Scheme Determination Date of confirmation reckoning of 'qualifying service' for pension of ex-company' and ex-States' staff-where the date of confirmation was not recorded in service records or where there was no practice to record the same etc. Decision that:- (i) Probationary officers will be deemed to be confirmed from commencement of probation and special class Apprentices from commencement of fifth year of Apprenticeship. (ii) Workshop staff will be deemed to be confirmed on completion of three years continuous service. (iii) In other cases-(a) The date of confirmation may be taken from contemporary official records, if available; or (b) the same may be determined in accordance with the general rule or practice in regard to the date from which staff were deemed to be permanent; or (c) Failing (a) and (b), the employee would be deemed to have been confirmed on completion of three year continous service. Provision made in para 410 MRPR. Decision also that the above instructions are applicable to Shed staff who are now classified as Workshop staff
