The Ministry of Labour and Employment has proposed amendments to Sections 111(2), 6(1)(dd), 102(2A), and 65(2) of the Factories Act. The proposal relates to the amendment of Sections 6(1)(dd) and 102(2A), which deal with the payment of arrears of fees and penalties in relation to old establishments that will be declared factories in the future. The Labour Ministry has been notified of the objection to the proposal and has been asked to axe the proposed amendments. However, no objections were voiced regarding the remaining adjustments
