N.Rly.-Is it possible to withhold wages from an employee covered by the Payment of Wages Act only because they failed to deposit their tickets in the time office on 26.4.58? Paragraph 423-W may be waived in this particular case, as there were six workers from the Jodhpur Workshop who neglected to drop off their tickets at the time office. The wages that were withheld should be returned to the workers in exchange for a clear certificate from the relevant supervisor stating that they were actually employed on that day
