Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers--- Amendments to the recruitment rules for-- Decision: that in rule 4 of Indian Railway Service of Mech. Engineers Recruitment Rule 1962; i) clauses (c) and (d) shall be relettered as clauses (d) and (e) respectively; ii) before clause (d) as so relettered, the following clause shall be insterted, namely: (e) By appointment of Asstt. Mech. Engineers recruited through the Commission, initially as temporary officers, to such extent as may be decided in consultation with the Commission from time to time; iii) the following Note shall be added at the end, namely;- Note:- If the quota of 33/1/3 percent reserved for clause II officers for promotion to class I is not fully utilised, the remaining vacancies will be filled by direct, recruitment under clause (b) and by appointment of temporary Asstt. Mech. Engineers under clause (c) in such proportion as may be decided in consultation with the Commission from time to time
