When an employee is provided with notice under rule 2046(K) R.II or wishes to retire voluntarily under rule 2046(d) R.II and elects pension rules before the notice period expires but does not complete 30 years qualifying service. The right course of action would be to rescind the notice of retirement, whether given by the Administration or the employees, and to proceed in accordance with the provisions of the applicable rules
