Modification of Payment of Wages (Railways) Rules 1938, Rule 14 (1)It was decided that the Payment of Wages Act would simply require an employee to have a right of showing cause in order to impose fines and deduct money for damage or loss. In light of this, Rule 14 (1) of the Payment of Wages (Railways) Rules, 1938 was modified. Railways received notice of the Labour Ministry's announcement. A modification to F.R. 17 was notified by the Ministry of Finance. It states that an officer who is absent from work without authorization is not eligible for compensation or benefits during that time. That's what F(E) Branch noticed
