Representation against termination of service under Rules 149 RI (Assault case) filed by Shri Daulal and EK Khalasi of Northern Railway. The Railways were given instructions to only consider reinstating ex-railway employees whose terminations under Rule 149-RI occurred within the six years prior to 5.12.1963 and whose representations were still pending. The Board's letter No. E(DandA)67RG6-22 dated 12.5.70 and 7.7.70 superseded the aforementioned directions, and situations where termination orders were issued more than six years before the Supreme Court's ruling on 5.12.63 must now be reconsidered
