Shri Daulal, EK. Khalasi, Northern Railway:-Representation against termination of service under Rules 149 RI (Assault case). Instructions were issued to the Railways that only those ex-railway servants, whose terminations under Rule 149-RI took place within a period of six years prior to 5.12.1963 and whose representations were still pending are to be considered for reinstatement. The above instructions have been superseded vide Board's letter No. E(DandA)67RG6-22 dated 12.5.70 and 7.7.70 in term of which even cases where the orders of termination were passed-than six years prior to the Supreme Court's judgement dated 5.12.63 have to be reviewed
