Review of orders in disciplinary cases under Rule 1736-R.1. Clarification following PNM meeting with NFIR on 3-9-63. (1) it was represented that punishments were enhanced even after expiry of 6 months time limit in the Rule by cancelling earlier orders and conducting progs. de novo. Board reiterated that this time limit should be strictly adhered to. (2) In cases where appeal is preferred and the appellate order is proposed to be reviewed, the 6 months will count from date of issue of appellate order (3) In cases where no appeal is preferred, the 6 months will count from date of order imposing the penalty. (4) The action to enhance the punishment may be considered to have been initiated from the date of issue of the notice for enhancement of punishment to the employees
