The plan for the headman of the subdistrict to store in Mastuj the four months' worth of grain, animal feed, and fuel needed to send a force to Shost in connection with the defence of Gilgit and Chitral was abandoned. Instead, grass growers in the area of Chitral and Dist were suggested.
