Captain W.L. Campbell received permission from His Majesty's secretary of state for India to receive an increased local allowance of Rs. 200 per month from the 8th of February to the 3rd of July 1908 while working as a British trade agent in Yatung, following the evacuation of the Chumbi valley and the withdrawal of the commissariat.
