With reference to Foreign Department No. 681P, dated 26th April last, forwards copy of a despatch from Secretary of State for India conveying his approval of Colonel Haughton`s attitude in his coorespondence with the Paro Penlow of Bhutan, which led to the release of eleven British subjects who had been carried off to Bhutan to be there sold into slavery.
