In reply to this office letter No. 3199 of 16th September 1869, communicates the observations of the Governor General in Council in regard to the payment of the treaty allowance to Fentook in his quality of Bhutanese agent, as also the source from which the salary of the interpreter whom the Commissioner may employ during Fentook`s absence should be met.
