Stating in reply to his letter of the 31st Ultimo that the officer of the Co of the 34th Native Infantry of their service is very creditable to them and that Govt glady acknowledge their soldiers offer but at present it is necessary that they continue to do duty at Barrackpore from which place it is not conviement to moor them .
