Forwarding copy of a report by the M.A.G. on the case of Dr. Chalmers late Assistant Salt Agent & c.a. at Hidgellee, & stating that in the opinion of the Govt. of India Dr. Chalmers was specially & temporarily retained at Hedgellee after his promotion to the rank of Surgeon for the benefit of the public Service, & on public ground.
