States that the Political Resident at Aden, adverting to the extreme desirableness of Keeping up a good Library at that stastion, has recommended the grant of a donation to the Institution of 1000 Rs. and a monthyly allowance of Rs. 60, and requestes that the proposition may be submitted to the Govt. of India, with the Storng recommendation of teh Bombaty Govt. in as favor, as a measure in accordance with the views expressed in M.G. Deptt. letter of the 28th March 1844 and 20 March 1845.
