In continuation of his letter no 1851 of the 10th instant reports that the he has been informed by the Department commissioner General that the Elephant from Rangeegunge are all emploeyed with Brigade Birds force in the field he there fore proposes to engage at once and despatch to Raneegunge as may hackeries as he can obtain for the use of the 3rd European Regt.
