From Secretary with - With reference to Home letter No. 1073 dated 8thUltimo states that from a return obtained from the Civil auditior it appears that the is a greator deficiency of officers in the North Westen Provinces there in Bengal in order therefore to give a fair proportion of strengh to the staff of either Government requests that the Bengal Government be called upon to furnish 10 officers of remployed in the North Western Provinces helf the number to be assistant with special powers to meet grandually the defiency thus caused two officers could be deducted annually from the allotment to the North Western Provinces the Punjab and Oudh of nearly arrived Civil Servants for the next five years.
