Read a Despatch, no 59 of 1858, dated the 28th April, from the Honble The Court of Directors, notifying. Para.1st - That theyhave granted the undermentioned Civil Servants of the Bengal Establishment extensions of leave on Sick Certificate for the periods specified. Mr.J.H. Mangles-Mr.G.R. Willock, Mr.A.A.Suinton-Mr.G.A.Pepper, Mr.D.Hay, (Uncovenanted) Mr.G.Barnes (Uncovenanted) for six Months Mr.G.G. Balfour, to remain 6 mos from 20th May. Para. 2ed That they have cancelled the permission to return tohis duty granted to Mr.W.J.R.Carnae, of the Bengal Civil Establishment, and have permitted him in remain in England on Sick Certificate for 6 Month, from the 19 Februray last mr.Carnae, who has not # anyabsentee allawance in England, has been informed that he will be permitted to draw in India the half salary of hos office fromthe periof of two year from the date on which he quitted India and that for the remander of his leave his allowance will be at the reduced rate of Pound 500
